Hi I'm Charlene ...the owner of the Australian based equestrian business The Equine Tailor. I am currently owned by 5 horses and two rescue Greyhounds lol.

I have ridden and owned horses since I was 7. Two of my three daughters ride with my youngest daughter now taking up Eventing.
I'm also a Seamstress... I have sewn since I was little... I think I was born with a needle and thread in my hand! I studied Fashion technology and manufacturing at TAFE after yr 12 and learnt valuable skills that I use today.

Put those 2 loves together and it was inevitable that I was eventually going to start an Equine wear business at some stage. I have always sewn my own horse gear and repaired my own rugs so The Equine Tailor was born!

I no longer repair rugs as my custom work soon took over with the introduction of my original design the Stirrup Bumper. Now I also create Stirrup Covers, Saddle Covers, Bridle bags, Helmet bags and covers, Girth sleeves, Lunge roller pads....and whatever my customers come up with I'm happy to design and create.
I recently added my commercial embroidery machine so I can offer my customers in house embroidery service which includes initial graphic design, digitizing the design and stitch out....all by me...no work goes out to a 3rd party. That way I can work with the customer myself to create their unique design and product.

So excited to have an online store so its now super easy for my customers to shop with The Equine Tailor.
